Joining The Brood of Reckoning Introduction: Brood of Reckoning is an end-game raiding guild on Cenarion-Circle. We are an end-game progression guild that endeavors to be one of, if not the, best guild in the 4-day raiding bracket. If you can play the game on an individual level, want to be in a progressive guild, and like to maximize the effectiveness of your character in whatever way you can, then this is the guild for you.
Requirements: Our raid schedule is currently: Mon-Thurs, 9:00PM - 12:00AM EST (8:00PM - 11:00PM SRV), a total of 16 hours a week, spread across 4 nights. To be considered you applicants must be able raid ALL of these nights on a regular basis. If you cannot make these raid times your application will be denied. In addition, you must have Ventrilo installed with a working microphone. You will need a STABLE high-speed connection and a rock solid system, along with the following qualities:
* Have made a noticeable effort to attain the best gear. * Best possible gems and enchants * Writing literacy above a 10th grade level * Strong desire to take on new challenges * Ability to bear and use heavy criticism positively * The ability to follow orders but also think/react dynamically
If you feel that ANY one of these things are not you then they probably are not. They WILL NOT be overlooked.
Connection Issues: Raiders with connection issues are placed in the same category as raiders the cannot and will not follow directions and delt with accordingly. Dead players do no Healing, Tanking, or DPS nor do disconnected ones.
Avg/Poor Computer Hardware: Low frame rates (anything below 25FPS) in the game or raids translates to poor raid performance. We cannot use you if you cannot move fast and react well. Not having appropriate computer hardware will prevent this.
The Process: All applications are reviewed on the officer board. If it looks satisfactory, it will be posted on the member forums and an officer will contact you to let you know that it's being reviewed. In a few days, we will contact you again to inform you whether the application has been accepted or refused. If accepted, you will be invited to the guild as an "Recruit".
The evaluation period lasts up to 4 weeks. During this period, the Recruit's abilities, such as but not limited to, play time, personality, skill at their class, availability and willingness to help other guildies are judged. Discussion of the Recruit continues by members, in order to judge their performance. Issues that are brought up by members will be detailed to the eval by an officer as necessary. At the end of evaluation, your membership will be voted on. Depending on the outcome, you will either be promoted to full member or removed. Under some circumstances, your evaluation will be extended until a clear consensus is reached.
Server Transfers You may be interviewed on Vent in order to ensure that you are a good fit. This is for your own sake as well as ours, since many an applicant has come over that could not acclimate to the Brood atmosphere. The result is always negative for both ends.
Package Deals We do not handle any manner of package deals. Groups of players interested in joining Brood of Reckoning must apply individually and be evaluated individually. If you join this guild and manage to become a full member, your buddies are not likely to gain any special treatment.
Further Questions We are happy to field any questions you may have regarding Brood of Reckoning. Please direct any questions to either Zerix, Mournn, or Skarl; however we do ask that you respect our raid times and not send tells between 8 and 12 EST Monday through Thursday if at all possible. During these times please send in-game mail or private messages on the website.
ITEM OF EXTREME IMPORTANCE
Take special care when filling out the application. Be detailed and complete each section. Applications that look like they were filled out in 30 seconds probably are. These applications undergo heavy scrutiny and a first impression is something that can be made only once. Many applications are rejected simply for not being completed in full or the applicant did not take the time to properly convey to us that they had writing literacy above a 10th grade level.
With that all said and done, if you want to see and beat end-game content with a group of skilled and dedicated players, go ahead and...
